Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) on assigned routes throughout Houston and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and hand trucks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery receipts.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major violations within the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor tasks.
