Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) on local and regional routes during the night shift.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying manifests and handling freight with care.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding schedules and delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (required).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience preferred for night shift roles.
- Ability to work flexible night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of Houston area routes and logistics hubs.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance.
- Willingness to pass a drug screen and background check.
