Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances while adhering to DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight with precision and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Navigate optimized routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs proactively
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients throughout transit
- Maintain electronic logs and comply with Hours of Service (HOS) requirements
- Represent the company professionally in client interactions and at delivery sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to work independently overnight
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
