Responsibilities
- Operate Class 8 commercial trucks safely during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport freight between Dallas distribution centers and regional hubs
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance needs
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Coordinate with dispatchers for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather conditions
- Report delivery discrepancies and maintain shipment documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Dallas metro area roadways and delivery protocols
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to adjust schedule during peak seasons
