Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, timely, and efficient manner on designated routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues encountered.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a clean driving record.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Complete necessary paperwork and logbooks accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and weekends.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance checks.
