The Role
As a Night Shift Driver, you will be the face of Swift Logistics. You will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of freight across the Midwest, ensuring our clients receive their cargo exactly when they need it.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in adherence to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logbooks.
- Navigate complex route maps and communicate effectively with dispatch and shippers.
- Unload freight at destination terminals and complete necessary delivery paperwork.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
