Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on designated routes within and around the Chicago area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper dock stock techniques and forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and status updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Willingness to work rotating night shifts and weekends as required.
