Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM) for local/regional routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for route optimization and delivery updates
- Handle secure cargo loading/unloading with proper documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients and warehouse personnel
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (minimum 2 years experience)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Charlotte metro area and surrounding regions
- Experience with freight types including dry van and flatbed
- Strong navigation skills using GPS and route planning tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
