Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on assigned routes in the Austin, IL area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and electronic documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delivery issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to work flexible night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and delivery systems.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
