Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver and pick up cargo in and around the Chicago metropolitan area and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Accurately complete daily logbooks (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all DOT and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must have a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
