Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles for overnight deliveries within the Greater Boston area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and document all vehicle maintenance issues
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Secure cargo and maintain accurate delivery manifests with electronic logging
- Represent Boston Freight Logistics with professional conduct at all client sites
- Participate in quarterly safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Expert knowledge of Boston metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Strong time management skills with proven punctuality record
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT requirements
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Flexibility to work weekends/holidays during peak shipping seasons
