Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles for overnight cargo transport
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and HOS compliance
- Optimize delivery routes to meet tight deadlines
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Secure cargo according to industry standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- 2+ years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Houston metro roadways and truck routes
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight shifts
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
