Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks for overnight deliveries across DC metro area
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and documentation
- Secure cargo and handle specialized freight with precision
- Utilize GPS routing systems for efficient DC-area navigation
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions
- Support warehouse loading/unloading operations when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Proven night shift driving history
- Familiarity with DC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass federal background check and random drug screenings
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
