Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in metropolitan areas
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance documentation
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and delivery time windows
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Respond professionally to route changes and emergencies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- 2+ years OTR or local commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and regulations
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Strong time management and navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- Flexible schedule with reliable attendance
