Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers on overnight routes across Texas and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and HOS guidelines during all operations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation systems
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Secure and verify cargo integrity before departure and upon arrival
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel during loading/unloading
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating commercial vehicles in long-haul capacity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highway systems
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 8 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
