Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods between warehouses, distribution centers, and client locations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking documentation
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols during overnight operations
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and delivery timelines
- Handle secure cargo and verify documentation for high-value shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service through professional communication
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metropolitan area roadways
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to obtain required endorsements if not already held
