Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for freight delivery across the Houston metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation (e-logs)
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure DOT compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Handle secure cargo loading/unloading with proper protocols
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
- Adhere to strict safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proven experience with flatbed or dry van trailers
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong knowledge of Houston metro area roadways
- Flexibility for variable start times within night shift window
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred
- Excellent time management and communication skills
