Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across metropolitan DC area
- Pre-trip inspection and maintenance of assigned truck
- Strict adherence to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Report mechanical issues and safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Familiarity with DC metropolitan area routes
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems
