Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on overnight routes (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques and weight distribution
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adapt to dynamic delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch
- Ensure strict adherence to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Operate in all weather conditions while maintaining on-time delivery performance
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years tractor-trailer experience in long-haul or regional driving
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Indiana roadways and regional traffic patterns
- Strong time management skills for strict delivery windows
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting abilities for on-road issues
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility to work weekends/holidays during peak seasons
