Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Deliver freight to commercial locations within Washington DC and surrounding areas
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logs (ELD)
- Adapt to dynamic urban traffic and delivery schedules
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC metropolitan area
- Strong defensive driving skills in urban environments
- Basic knowledge of freight handling procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Flexibility for occasional weekend shifts
