Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for overnight deliveries across Houston metro area
- Pre-trip inspections and maintenance documentation compliance
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to meet tight deadlines
- Handle hazardous materials and temperature-controlled freight as assigned
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging systems
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure cargo security and proper loading/unloading procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Minimum 1 year night shift driving experience
- DOT medical certification current and in good standing
- Familiarity with Houston area highway systems and industrial zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred but not required
