Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver packages to residential and commercial customers.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all packages are handled with care and stored securely during transit.
- Verify delivery addresses and follow assigned routes to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Interact professionally with customers, resolving any delivery issues or questions with a positive attitude.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Utilize handheld devices for logging delivery information, tracking mileage, and reporting any incidents.
- Adhere to all company policies, traffic laws, and DOT regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements.
- A clean driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for making change and verifying delivery quantities.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
