Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and goods across Detroit metropolitan area during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs using our proprietary tracking system
- Provide exceptional customer service during residential and commercial deliveries with professional communication
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time performance while adhering to traffic regulations
- Safely handle fragile, temperature-sensitive, and high-value merchandise with proper loading/unloading techniques
- Report mechanical issues and maintenance needs promptly to maintain fleet readiness
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions and customer inquiries
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience with familiarity with Detroit roadways
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong time management skills with proven ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route navigation and communication apps
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT regulations
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
