Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, food, and goods across Detroit metropolitan area during overnight shifts
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and inventory records using our digital tracking system
- Provide exceptional customer service during high-demand late-night hours
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Adapt routes in real-time using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges and optimize routes
- Represent Detroit Express Logistics with professionalism and integrity at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and navigate stairs/delivery points
- Reliable smartphone with data plan for communication and navigation
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Availability to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) including weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Basic knowledge of Detroit metro streets and neighborhoods
