Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages to Memphis residences and businesses
- Follow optimized routes using GPS navigation tools to maximize efficiency
- Load/unload packages with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures when required
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch team via mobile app
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Assist with inventory management at distribution hub during shift start/end
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to lift packages up to 60 pounds regularly
- Strong knowledge of Memphis metropolitan area roadways
- Availability to work 8-10 hour shifts between 6 PM - 6 AM
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
- Pass criminal background check and DOT physical
- Previous delivery or logistics experience preferred
- Ability to work independently in variable weather conditions
