Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or Class B) safely and efficiently in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety of the cargo and the vehicle.
- Load and unload freight accurately and securely using proper equipment.
- Complete daily logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and delivery times.
- Ensure the cargo is protected from weather elements and damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Must be available to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
