Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM) across regional routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Complete delivery documentation and communicate shipment status to dispatch
- Adapt to changing schedules and route adjustments due to weather or traffic
- Represent the company professionally in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of freight documentation systems
