Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight transport across designated regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure optimal vehicle condition
- Accurately complete delivery documentation and electronic logging system entries
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight with precision and proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain professional demeanor during customer interactions at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Kansas roadways and regional geography
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) operation
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Flexibility to adjust schedule during peak shipping seasons
- Required HazMat endorsement (training provided if not current)
