Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport freight between distribution centers, warehouses, and client sites in the DC metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Adapt to dynamic urban routing while maintaining on-time delivery schedules
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC metropolitan area geography
- Physical ability to handle freight up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Pass background check and drug screening
