Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for overnight freight delivery routes within Tampa metropolitan area
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments efficiently with proper securing techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Handle unexpected route adjustments with professional problem-solving
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills with familiarity of Tampa area roadways
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Overnight shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM) essential
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge preferred
