Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight deliveries across Tampa Bay area
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections documenting all maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system (ELD) compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Handle specialized freight including temperature-controlled and hazardous materials (with endorsement)
- Uphold strict safety protocols including HOS regulations and secure cargo practices
- Provide exceptional customer service during dock interactions and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and ELD compliance
- Endorsements: Hazmat (preferred), Tanker, or Doubles/Triples
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with GPS navigation and delivery scheduling systems
