Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight transport
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and pre/post-trip inspection protocols
- Deliver goods to distribution centers and retail locations across San Diego County
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device compliance
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Secure cargo and handle specialized equipment as required
- Respond proactively to changing delivery conditions during night operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Night shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of San Diego County roadways
- Forklift certification preferred
- Strong safety orientation and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility conditions
