Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight delivery routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklift certifications
- Navigate Charlotte metro area efficiently using GPS navigation systems
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route adjustments
- Complete electronic logging system (ELD) documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Night shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM schedule)
- Forklift certification preferred
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Charlotte area highways and delivery zones
- Ability to work independently in remote overnight environments
