Job Overview:
We are looking for reliable Class A or Class B drivers to handle the transportation of goods across the region. You will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and legally during designated night shift hours.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is properly secured and distributed according to load plans.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and time schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT logs) and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) on file.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
