Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for overnight freight deliveries across Eastern Pennsylvania
- Perform pre-trip inspections and complete mandatory DOT paperwork
- Maintain strict adherence to HOS regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch teams using electronic logging devices
- Secure cargo and handle specialized materials requiring temperature control
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Resolve delivery exceptions and communicate delays proactively
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience in night shift operations
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with Philadelphia metro area routes and traffic patterns
- Passing DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and hazmat handling (preferred)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
