Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods within Houston metro area and regional routes
- Strict adherence to FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Perform thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle specialized freight (temperature-controlled or hazardous materials as required)
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Utilize GPS technology for real-time navigation and route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Houston-area highways and delivery zones
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends/holidays
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
