Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on local and regional routes within Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or manual handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the truck clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience preferred (night shift experience a plus).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Familiarity with Philadelphia city streets and traffic patterns is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the schedule.
