Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight delivery routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Operate in all weather conditions with emphasis on nighttime visibility protocols
- Maintain clean driving record and represent company professionally at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation technology
- Strong time management skills for strict delivery window adherence
- Flexibility to work variable overnight schedules (typically 8 PM - 6 AM)
- Knowledge of hazmat procedures (certification a plus)
