Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) during overnight shifts
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper securing techniques
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Navigate urban and regional routes using GPS and route planning tools
- Communicate with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and compliance with safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with Oakland/Bay Area routes and traffic patterns
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work variable overnight schedules (8-12 hour shifts)
