Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van) for nighttime deliveries to distribution centers and retail locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs per FMCSA regulations
- Coordinate with dispatchers to optimize routes and resolve delivery exceptions
- Load/unload freight with proper material handling techniques and equipment
- Adhere to all DOT regulations including HOS compliance and securement protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, forklift)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (including random testing)
- Knowledge of Louisiana roadways and ability to navigate in low-visibility conditions
- Availability to work flexible night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM) including weekends
