Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for nocturnal freight transport across Los Angeles County
- Execute pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle secure transportation of high-value or temperature-sensitive cargo
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Document delivery exceptions and maintain clear communication with clients
- Perform minor preventive maintenance checks and report equipment issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Proven ability to navigate complex urban routes during nighttime hours
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS rules, and cargo securement standards
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening (company-mandated)
