Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks for overnight freight deliveries across Los Angeles County
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and HOS (Hours of Service) compliance
- Perform comprehensive pre/post-trip inspections and document all vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Securely load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Resolve delivery exceptions and communicate proactively with clients
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (minimum 3 years experience)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Proven expertise in navigating complex urban routes (LA metro area)
- Familiarity with hazmat materials handling (certification preferred)
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong commitment to defensive driving practices
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) and weekends
- Basic GPS and electronic logging system proficiency
