Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight cargo transport
- Perform meticulous pre/post-trip inspections and documentation
- Adhere to strict DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dock teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions
- Secure cargo according to industry best practices
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional driving experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and port regulations
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
