Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans safely and efficiently on assigned routes throughout the greater Boston area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and proper handling protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required shipping documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any logistical changes.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) meeting federal standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no DUIs or serious moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently during night hours.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
