Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial trucks safely and efficiently on designated routes throughout Jacksonville and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Load and secure cargo properly, ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Maintain accurate logbooks (ELD) and electronic documentation at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and status updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a night shift environment.
