Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport freight across Virginia and surrounding states with punctual deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Handle specialized cargo including temperature-sensitive and hazardous materials
- Utilize electronic logging systems (ELD) and telematics technology
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Knowledge of Virginia traffic laws and interstate highway systems
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
