Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport freight between Detroit metro area distribution centers and regional hubs
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team using telematics systems
- Secure cargo according to safety protocols and industry best practices
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery/receipt points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Michigan highway systems and Detroit metro routes
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility for occasional weekend or holiday shifts
