Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport freight between Colorado Springs and regional distribution centers
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD)
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required
- Document delivery exceptions and customer communications
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional experience with tanker/dry van endorsements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Proficient with ELD devices and basic navigation systems
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends/holidays
