Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) during overnight hours
- Perform thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling protocols
- Navigate Baltimore metropolitan routes efficiently using GPS technology
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Complete delivery documentation with precision and timeliness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Familiarity with Baltimore-area highways and delivery zones
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement techniques
