Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Execute time-sensitive deliveries to distribution centers, warehouses, and retail locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and resolve delivery exceptions
- Ensure proper loading/unloading procedures and cargo security protocols
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members during transit
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with Philadelphia metro area navigation and traffic patterns
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and onboard telematics
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Flexible schedule availability for weekends and holidays as needed
